The Kodak OG-PLUS6.2 Off-Grid Inverter is a high-performance solar inverter designed to provide reliable, stable and efficient power for residential and light commercial applications. Building on the proven features of the Kodak OG-PLUS range, this upgraded model delivers a rated output power of 6,200W (6.2kW) and a powerful 7,000W MPPT solar charge controller, providing increased capacity for solar generation, battery charging and load support.
Designed for locations where grid electricity is unstable, particularly rural and end-of-line installations, the OG-PLUS6.2 delivers a stable 230V AC output, whether utility power is available or not. This helps protect the operation of connected appliances from the effects of fluctuating grid voltage when the inverter is supplying the loads.
The inverter features a robust uninterruptible power supply (UPS) function with zero transfer time for essential loads, making it suitable for applications requiring continuous power for sensitive electronics, networking equipment, servers and other critical devices.
With its dual-output design, users can separate essential and non-essential loads. Non-essential loads can be switched off at a configured battery state of charge (SoC), preserving the remaining stored energy for priority appliances and extending backup availability.
The Kodak OG-PLUS6.2 also features built-in Wi-Fi for remote monitoring, parallel operation for system expansion, a high-voltage MPPT input for flexible solar array design, and a large colour LCD display with an RGB LED ring indicator.
High-Power Solar Performance
The OG-PLUS6.2 features a 7,000W MPPT solar charge controller, allowing the inverter to accommodate a substantial solar array within the manufacturer’s specified electrical limits.
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology continually adjusts the solar operating point to optimise the power harvested from the photovoltaic panels under changing sunlight and temperature conditions.
The high-voltage MPPT design can provide greater flexibility in solar array configuration, potentially allowing longer panel strings where permitted by the inverter’s maximum PV voltage, current and other electrical specifications.
The available solar power can be used to supply connected loads and charge a compatible battery bank. Actual performance depends on solar irradiance, panel orientation, temperature, battery condition and the inverter’s operating limits.
